Copenhagen Relaxed Chunky Knit Jumper

The knit
A relaxed chunky knit jumper in a plump rib
The plump rib texture looks warm and handmade and feels thick and cosy on a cold morning.
It is slightly stretchy, so it moves with you and keeps its shape.
It is warm enough with just a light jacket on a crisp autumn day. Machine wash cold and dry flat to keep the shape. It is the jumper you reach for without thinking.
The colours
Four shades for grey days
Cream is the everyday one; burnt coral is a warm pinky orange, lovely with denim; butter yellow is soft and sunny; berry red is made for the festive season.
Each shade looks lovely with blue jeans and a camel or grey coat.
For a festive look, wear the berry red with black trousers and gold earrings.

The fit
Generous, UK 10 to 14
S is UK 10, M UK 12 and L UK 14, cut generously over those measurements. Take your usual size, or one up for slouchy.
Dropped shoulders and full sleeves gather into ribbed cuffs, and the hem falls just past the hip.
Choose your colour and size above — free UK delivery. Tuck the front into high-waisted trousers for a neater line.
From Maria & Denis
A relaxed chunky knit jumper in the colours you want on a grey afternoon — cream, burnt coral, butter yellow and a deep berry red.
Sizes S to L. Winter wardrobes are full of black and navy; a chunky knit in coral, yellow or berry lifts the outfit and the mood with it. We named it after Copenhagen, where colourful knits brighten every street.

The soft, fluffy knit looks even cosier in motion. Here is the jumper in berry red in our studio and in cream on a city street.
Why you will love it
A chunky, soft rib knit with a relaxed fit.
Four colours that brighten a dark winter wardrobe.
Easy to layer over a shirt or under a coat.
Slight stretch for comfort all day.
Sizes S to L.
Fabric & care
Hand wash cool or use the wool cycle, inside out. Reshape while damp and dry flat — hanging a wet knit stretches the shoulders. No tumble dryer.
Fold rather than hang between wears; a jumper kept on a hanger slowly grows longer.
Size guide
We size this style to our standard UK chart below. These are body measurements, not garment measurements — the cut itself is relaxed, so there is room to spare.
| Size | UK | Bust, cm (in) | Waist, cm (in) | Hip, cm (in) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | 10 | 84–87 (33–34) | 66–69 (26–27) | 92–95 (36–37) |
| M | 12 | 88–91 (35–36) | 70–73 (28–29) | 96–99 (38–39) |
| L | 14 | 92–97 (36–38) | 74–79 (29–31) | 100–105 (39–41) |
The fit is generous; if you prefer it closer, take your usual size, for a slouchy look go one up.

Quite big, S would have been enough for me. Lovely knit though.
Colours
Bought cream and yellow. Both lovely.
Good
Good thick jumper.
Fluff
Sheds a tiny bit on a dark coat the first couple of wears, then it stopped.
