Water-resistant hiking trousers that move when you move
A softshell weave with four-way stretch, so climbing a stile, crouching to tie a lace or scrambling up a bank never pulls at the knees or the seat.
The waistband gives a little, a webbing belt sits in the loops, and the straight leg sits neatly over walking boots or trainers. Tall or short, there is a size with the inseam to match.

Phone, keys and wallet stay put behind bright orange zips, even when you sit on a rock or climb over a fence. No more patting your pockets on the way down.
Ankle zips open the hem so the trousers slide over boots, and close again to keep out grit and wet grass. The bright pull tabs are easy to find even with cold fingers.

Tough panels on the knees take the scrapes of kneeling and scrambling, while the outer surface lets light rain and wet grass bead off instead of soaking in.

Fabric & care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, zips closed, with like colours.
Line dry. Do not tumble dry or iron the water-resistant surface.
Do not bleach or use fabric softener: it weakens the water resistance.

Garment measurements in centimetres, laid flat; waist and hip are measured all the way round. Sizes in the menu read “European size S” to “European size XXXL”.

Cairngorm trousers
These are my second pair of these trousers in the last 5 years. They're always good quality, they fit well. And are warm and comfortable. The only issue that I noticed that over time, is the water repellency, it kind of fades and weakens over time, hence why I bought a new pair. I really enjoy wearing these while I'm out. In the woods, Hiking and canoeing and doing various other outdoor activities very comfortable to wear in the fall. So I look forward to giving this new pair another good run.

Best Cool Weather Hiking Trousers Ever

These trousers are incredible, a must in wet weather. They will keep you dry and warm. While my fellow hikers done their wet trousers when raining, I don’t need too I am dry warm and happy hiking in the rain.

The Cairngorm trousers are excellent. I bought these trousers to wear while out hunting and they are ideal. They are very comfortable.The stretch in the fabric really helps when climbing over obstacles and the extra protection on the knees help when kneeling on rough or wet ground. I have already purchased a second pair.

Strongest material
I love these trousers for hiking the mountains in BC! They are super strong, resistant to tears and water repellent, but unlike other trousers they are surprisingly comfortable and well made. I’ve recommend these trousers to friends.

Great Trousers
Great outdoor winter trousers. Flexible for activities, tough enough for work, comfortable enough for the couch. Not super waterproof but no complaints.
My 3rd pair!
Buy these trousers! They are seriously comfortable, durable and warm! It is like wearing comfy sweat trousers that stretch in all directions, but on steroids! I absolutely love them for any outdoor activities that require protection from cold, wet conditions. They are very durable as well... I love these trousers!!
Warm and dry
I wore these out hunting this fall (November 2025). It had snowed about 8", the temperature was about-5 degC to -10 degC. I wore a marino wool underlayer and was able to stay warm and dry all day. The trousers are completely waterproof, stretchy and very comfortable. I bought another pair right after hunting season. I highly recommend.
